PATENS

§0   WOULD A ROUND PAY YOU?

Read-only. It asks for your public key and nothing else — there is no transaction on this site for you to sign, and there never will be.

NOT CONNECTED — NOTHING HAS BEEN READ

DOC. REF: PATENS/HOLDERS-000

There is no token yet, so there are no holders.

$PATENS has not been launched. No contract, no presale, no allowlist, no date. This page will fill itself from the chain the moment there is a mint to read.

Note what this page is not doing: it is not printing ——. Those two dashes mean a reading was attempted and failed. Nothing failed here — there is simply nothing to read, and that is a different sentence. Every page on this site keeps the three apart.

§1   THE FLOOR, AND WHY THERE HAS TO BE ONE

$20

MINIMUM HOLDING TO BE PAID

Paying somebody a token they have never held means opening an account for them first, and Solana charges rent for it: 0.002039 SOL, paid by us. Below some balance the rent to deliver a payout is larger than the payout, and the holder is worse off for having been paid at all.

So there is a floor. It is on this page and on the front page, next to the round — not two clicks away in a calculator. Wallets under it are counted and named in every round, so nobody has to guess whether they were skipped or missed.

§2   WHAT THIS PAGE WILL SHOW

THE SNAPSHOT, AND ITS SLOT

Every holder at the moment the round was taken, with the slot number. A snapshot cannot be built from a partial walk of the holder list — the type refuses it, so a round either has a complete census or it does not run.

WHO WAS BELOW THE FLOOR

Counted and shown, not quietly dropped. A wallet that got nothing should be able to see itself in the list and read the reason next to its own balance.

THE DUST

Integer division leaves a remainder. It stays in the vault and rolls into the next round. It is never handed to the largest holder to make the arithmetic close.

THE RENT WE PAID

Opening accounts costs us SOL. That figure is published per round, because it is the honest cost of paying small holders and it is the number that would justify raising the floor.

Until there is a mint, the useful pages are the rotation — which is live, and already says who can freeze the equity you would be paid — and the keeper, which says who would be holding it in between.
